What it is / when to use
The Qualified Investor (QI) is an optional and independent step from account approval. The investor submits net-worth / accreditation / sophisticated-investor evidence; the Compliance Officer evaluates and decides it in its own scope. Approving the QI marks the profile as qualified, which unlocks higher limits — it does not change the account approval itself.
QI does not block the account
The account is approved solely with a verified identity. The QI evidence is optional: it may be absent, pending or rejected without preventing account approval. See Detail and decision.
Evidence states
| State | Label | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
NOT_SUBMITTED | Not submitted | The investor has not submitted the evidence yet. |
SUBMITTED | Submitted | Evidence submitted, awaiting evaluation. |
PASSED | Approved | Evidence approved — investor marked as qualified. |
FAILED | Rejected | Evidence rejected — request resubmission for a new evaluation. |
QI actions
The actions are in the Qualified Investor panel of the detail. All require step-up (password + MFA).
Approve QI
- Precondition: evidence
SUBMITTED. If there is no submitted evidence, the action is blocked with the matching notice. - Effect: sets the evidence to
PASSEDand marks the profile asqualified = true, unlocking higher limits.
Reject QI
- Precondition: select a reason (mandatory) — see reason codes. Optional note.
- Effect: the evidence becomes
FAILED; the investor can resubmit.
Request resubmission
- Effect: the evidence returns to "Not submitted" (
NOT_SUBMITTED) and the investor is notified to resubmit.
Action blocks
The approve-QI button is disabled, with a notice, depending on the state:
| State | Notice |
|---|---|
NOT_SUBMITTED | The investor has not submitted the Qualified Investor evidence yet. |
PASSED | Evidence already approved — investor marked as qualified. |
FAILED | Evidence rejected — request resubmission for a new evaluation. |
